Speaker: Eric Odderstol – Arcadis
Working with in close collaboration of one the country’s largest utilities, Arcadis is leading the transformation of a very large and business-critical remediation program. With the introduction of a robust control frame work, coupled with a comprehensive strategic sourcing program, the outcome is a truly optimized and innovative approach to managing larger remediation programs. This monthly meeting of the SAME Lake Michigan Post discusses the acquisition strategy/approach and program controls initiatives created for the program.
Eric S. Odderstol, PE, has over 33 years of experience successfully leading complex construction programs and projects for private, public agency, and military organizations. His professional expertise includes planning, design, and construction management, contract management, and field operations. Mr. Odderstol has a proven track record of program delivery through effective oversight of strategic planning, process improvement, risk management, and logistics management to meet program-specific needs. Prior to joining ARCADIS, Mr. Odderstol was a Captain in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps, holding leadership roles of increasing responsibility in contingency operations and the design and construction of various Naval and Joint Force Facilities.
Guenther Preuhs is leading Arcadis’ Program Management Services Offering for North America. He has more than 18 years of program management, program controls, and strategic planning experience on large-scale construction programs in the U.S. and Europe. He is an industry leader in program and project controls, including state-of-the-art program management systems, budget/cost control, schedule management, document control, financial management and contract administration. His project experience includes civic buildings, medical facilities, residential buildings, airports, tollways and highways, infrastructure systems and railways. Guenther develops global best practices in the delivery of program analytics and controls, delivering high strategic value to program and project teams. On each program, he ensures streamlined communication and promotes proactive team relationship development, fostering sound information dissemination that effectively influences risk management and well informed decision making at every critical juncture.
