Opportunities Abound

During the next months, Wisconsin businesses will have significant opportunities to meet with Federal agency and Prime contractors.  Please make sure that your SAM registration is current and if you are a small business, your DSBS is complete.

On February 25, the USFS Forest Products Laboratory in Madison will be holding its first Industry Day.   Of special interest are the areas of construction, A/E, as well as products and services in support of their research mission. This is a not cost event – if interested contact Kim Garber at kimg@wispro.org

This year’s Society of American Military Engineers (SAME) Midwest Small Business Expo is scheduled for March 9 – 10 in Northbrook IL.  This has become an annual event hosted by the SAME Great Lakes and Chicago Posts.  The program format will feature workshops, roundtables as well as business and industry panels.  This year’s event will also bring some topics focusing on critical infrastructure.

I am pleased to share that Mr. Gregory Wynne, CFCM Deputy for Small Business from NAVFAC MIDLANT, Norfolk, VA will be joining us as well as Bonita M. Carroll, the new Deputy for Small Business, USACE Chicago District.  This is a great opportunity for businesses in Construction, Engineering, A/E, Environmental and related trades to learn and network from agency representatives, primes and partners.  I encourage you to visit the event website at https://sites.google.com/a/wispro.org/same2016/

We are also in the planning stages of the Wisconsin Federal Contracting Forum in DC scheduled for the last week of April. If you are interested in joining us, please contact Hilary DeBlois at hilaryd@wispro.org

Developing relationships is critical for success.  If you need help in preparing to take advantage of these opportunities, please contact me.
