SUMMARY:Cyber Thursday: Determining Your Real CMMC Compliance Responsibilities
DESCRIPTION:Not every Defense contractor handling federal information needs CMMC Level 2—and not every contractor who believes they are exempt actually is. This Cyber Thursday session helps Defense contractors determine their real CMMC compliance responsibilities by walking through the questions that define scope: what type of information flows through a contract (FCI vs. CUI)\, which cybersecurity clauses appear in the solicitation\, where data is stored and processed\, and how flow down requirements from prime contractors can change a contractor’s obligations.\nThis session will cover how to read contracts for cybersecurity requirements\, how to identify CUI when it is not explicitly marked\, the differences between CMMC Levels 1\, 2\, and 3\, and common scoping mistakes that cause contractors to over invest\, under invest\, or miss CMMC requirements entirely. Contractors who are uncertain whether CMMC applies to them\, who have been told it does and want confirmation\, or who are trying to right size their scope before pursuing CMMC will leave with a clearer understanding of their actual obligations. \nSpeaker: Matt Frost\, Government Contract Specialist\, Wisconsin Procurement Institute – WI APEX Accelerator \n\n\n\nThis webinar is eligible for 1 CPE credit. \nFor the full schedule of the Cyber Thursday webinars\, please click here.

SUMMARY:Great Lakes Fusion Energy Supply Chain Forum
DESCRIPTION:Unique program for operating companies with capabilities to supply the fast-growing fusion energy industry \n\n\n\nThe first grid-scale fusion power plants are expected to be operational in the early 2030s and the global fusion energy market is predicted to grow to $1 trillion by 2050. As the industry transitions from academic lab research to commercial factory scaling — now is the time to strategize an entry point and avoid being locked out of the industry by early movers. \nThis program is only open to operating companies that are supplying or interested in supplying the fusion industry. The interactive agenda includes: \nFusion at Work: SHINE Technologies \nOne of the oldest and most established companies in the global fusion industry\, SHINE is backed by more than $500M of investments and earlier this year received a conditional commitment of up to $263M from the Department of Energy to complete construction of its Chrysalis facility\, which uses fusion-driven systems to produce a critical medical isotope. We’ll discuss SHINE’s procurement process\, current and future supply chain needs\, sourcing priorities\, pain points\, and more. Ross Radel\, Chief Technology Officer and John Schaefer\, Buyer Planner – Procurement. Moderator: Kathleen Gallagher\, Pulitzer Prize winner; 5 Lakes Institute Executive Director. \nSupplier Stories \nHear from several operating companies about their experiences supplying the fusion industry and get valuable information about product and regulatory requirements\, necessary certifications and more. Lead Moderator: Kyle Crum\, President\, Infinity EDM. \nYou’ll also enjoy small group networking and the following sessions (details coming soon!): \n\nIndustry Info: Short discussion of new developments in the industry\nPartner Lab: Moderated Chat with a fusion researcher about potential partnerships with their lab\n\nTo learn more\, click here.
