SUMMARY:Cyber Friday: CMMC - Are You Ready?
DESCRIPTION:The Cyber Friday series will continue with the topic\, “CMMC – Are You Ready” on Friday\, September 9 at 11:00 AM. To register\, please click here. \nYou have your System Security Plan\, a Plan of Action\, and have uploaded your DoD Basic Assessment score and associated information into SPRS. These are the core requirements which underpin both the current DoD Basic Assessment requirements and form the foundation for future CMCC requirements. \nThe major differences between the Basic Self-assessment and CMCC are the level of formality applied to the management and administration of the program and the level of detail and discernment employed in conducting either an internal self-assessment for Level 1 and some Level 2 programs and for third-party assessments for all other Level 2 assessments. In all cases\, DoD Suppliers should review their programs as an external reviewer would. \nThe key questions that this webinar will address are: \n\nWhat does that really mean?\nHow does a company successfully adopt the appropriate mindset?\nWhat documentation is required and what is satisfactory level of detail\n\n\nSpeaker: Marc Violante\, Director\, Federal Market Strategies\, Wisconsin Procurement Institute \nFor the full schedule of the Cyber Friday webinars\, please click here. \nThis webinar is eligible for 1 CPE credit. \n

SUMMARY:Cyber Friday - CMMC: DFARS 252.204-7012; Information Security - Similarities and Differences
DESCRIPTION:The Cyber Friday series will continue with the topic\, “CMMC DRAFS 252.204-7012; Information Security – Similarities and Differences” on Friday\, September 23 at 11:00 AM. To register\, please click here. \nA CMMC L1 or L2 certification does not guarantee compliance with all DFARS 252.204-7012 requirements and does not guarantee that a company will correctly handle other categories of information such as ITAR or JCP. The same is true about ITAR and CMMC. A fully functional ITAR compliance program will not begin to satisfy CMMC requirements. Ultimately\, for each company to correctly handle different categories of information requires that they first know what information they are receiving and handling. Secondly\, each company must have a detailed knowledge and understanding of each of the programs and program requirements. \nThis webinar will provide a top-level overview of the major categories of information and key differences between them. \n\nSpeaker: Marc Violante\, Director\, Federal Market Strategies\, Wisconsin Procurement Institute \nFor the full schedule of the Cyber Friday webinars\, please click here. \nThis webinar is eligible for 1 CPE credit. \n

SUMMARY:DoD Supplier Roadmap Series: Overview of the Marketplace
DESCRIPTION:The next DoD Supplier Roadmap series webinar “Overview of the Marketplace” will be held on Thursday\, October 6 at 1:00 PM. To register\, please click here. \nWelcome to the DoD Supplier Roadmap series. This series is designed to help manufactures enter and compete in the DoD Marketplace. It is designed to help you understand the DoD market\, the environment\, and most of all the amazing variety of opportunities that are available. The series touches on the key elements of doing business with DoD which range from how to locate opportunities\, identifying customers\, the essential role of past performance and most importantly considerations related to developing a DoD Business Strategy. We hope that you find our DoD Supplier Roadmap series for manufacturers to be informative\, useful and that one resource that can help kick-start your efforts to taking advantage of this market and its opportunities. Anytime you have a question about Federal and/or DoD contracting please call WPI’s main office at 414-270-3600 or email info@wispro.org Our services are always available at no cost and our staff is always ready to provide technical assistance. \nSelling to DoD sounds simple and straightforward. After all\, how hard can it be to sell to “a single customer that publicly publishes the majority of its business opportunities?” In reality\, DoD is a large and complex Global entity with approximately 982 Contracting Offices each with varying requirements that span from everyday items to those which can only be described as intricate and esoteric. Additionally\, DoD uses a variety of acquisition vehicles to procure both products and services. This webinar will provide an overview of the essential data needed to gain an understanding of this marketplace and associated purchasing trends. It will also help you to identify and qualify prospects. \n\nSpeaker: Marc Violante\, Director\, Federal Market Strategies\, Wisconsin Procurement Institute \nThis webinar is eligible for 1 CPE credit. \nTo view the full schedule of DoD Supplier Roadmap Series webinars\, please click here. \n

SUMMARY:Cyber Friday: Four Key Building Blocks to Use in Developing and Implementing a Comprehensive System Security Plan
DESCRIPTION:The Cyber Friday series will continue with the topic\, “Four Key Building Blocks to Use in Developing and Implementing a Comprehensive System Security Plan” on Friday\, October 7\, at 11:00 AM. To register\, please click here. \nSystem Security Plans (SSP) are not solely a requirement created for NIST 800-171 and the DoD Basic Assessment. The system security plan is fundamental to all cyber security efforts. All companies should take time to develop one and manage it. Unfortunately\, many DoD suppliers view the SSP as a byproduct of conduction the DoD Basic Assessment – essentially a checkmark generated document. \nA SSP should be one of the fundamental organizational documents that helps to guide the company in developing its IT infrastructure and establishing a firm foundation for protecting and securing all types of sensitive information by outlining company and customer driven cybersecurity requirements. This webinar will provide an overview of SSPs\, the type of information used to develop SSPs\, and four key considerations that should be incorporated into the plans. \n\nSpeaker: Marc Violante\, Director\, Federal Market Strategies\, Wisconsin Procurement Institute \nFor the full schedule of the Cyber Friday webinars\, please click here. \nThis webinar is eligible for 1 CPE credit. \n
