The presentations will focus on automation and operational technology in manufacturing\, providing insights into how these advancements can improve efficiency and productivity. Attendees will gain practical knowledge about integrating new technologies into their operations and explore how these tools can support their business goals in a rapidly evolving industry landscape. \nAdditionally\, the event will offer an introduction to cybersecurity requirements for Federal and Defense contracting. This session aims to equip manufacturers with the essential information needed to comply with cybersecurity regulations\, safeguarding their operations and ensuring eligibility for government contracts. Participants will learn about the necessary steps to meet compliance standards and protect sensitive data to win\, and meet\, potential Federal and Defense business. \nSpeakers: \n\nStephen Casselman\, IT-Network Specialist Instructor\, Chippewa Valley Technical College (CVTC) Center for Cyber Defense\nRon Thomas\, Senior Management Engineer\, UW-Stout MOC\nMatt Frost\, Government Contract Specialist\, Wisconsin Procurement Institute (WPI)\n\n\nAbout the Event Host: \nThe CVTC Center for Cyber Defense was developed to showcase the IT – Network Specialist program and to provide cyber security resources to students\, faculty\, and community members. The Center for Cyber Defense been designated by the NSA as a “Center for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education.” The goal of the CAE Cyber Defense Education program is to reduce vulnerability in the national information infrastructure by promoting higher education and research in cyber defense and producing professionals with cyber defense expertise. Additionally\, the Cyber Range has been established to help industry partners simulate real-life cyber security events\, so they are better prepared for a future of cyber uncertainty.
