Johnson Controls awarded $14.8 million Navy contract
Johnson Controls Inc. has been awarded a $14.8 million order for work at the U.S. Navy’s Pearl Harbor-Hickam base near Honolulu, Hawaii.
The work will consist of heating, ventilation and cooling system improvements at the base, plus the installation of more than 550 lights, the Navy said.
It will be done through Johnson Controls Government Systems LLC and is expected to be completed by March 2031.
Ten proposals were received for the work at the base, which can accommodate the largest ships in the Navy’s fleet. The base, formally known as Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, is an amalgamation of the Air Force’s Hickam Field and Naval Station Pearl Harbor.
