Marinette-built USS Fort Worth waits on AirAsia recovery
A U.S. Navy ship built at Marinette Marine is waiting and ready to help the recovery effort after AirAsia Flight 8501 went down in the Java Sea.
The Pentagon says the USS Forth Worth is now in the area and will deploy once it gets an official request from the Indonesian government.
The USS Sampson joined the mission earlier this week. That ship has already recovered bodies and debris from the crash.
