MEMO from the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Sustainment – Determining & Making Commercial Item Procurements to Respond to the Coronavirus Disease 2019

Most of the supplies and services required by the Department of Defense (DOD) in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) will be urgent commercial item procurements. Therefore, the Defense Contract Management Agency Commercial Item Group (DCMA CIG) has prepared the attached class Commercial Item Determination (CID) limited to the information pertaining to the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. The items listed in the class of CID meet the requirements of the commercial item definition under Federal Acquisition Regulation 2.101 and are determined to be commercial items.
