DESCRIPTION:WPI is celebrating 31 years\, but it is not about us. It is about the businesses we serve and the services and products they provide to our country. \nJoin the WPI Board of Directors\, government contractors from around the state and business and government influencers for a discussion on the “State of Government Contracting in the State” and how to expand Wisconsin’s contracting power to truly increase businesses sales\, profits and jobs.  The State of Wisconsin enjoys a significant amount of work supporting U.S. Navy contracts.  Mr. Ed West\, Director of U.S. Navy Surface Ship Programs for Milwaukee-based DRS Power & Control Technologies\, Inc.\,  will provide an update on current and planned Naval programs\, technologies and initiatives. While Defense manufacturing has historically been a strong industry in Wisconsin’s federal sales\, trends indicate the State’s federal marketplace footprint is expanding.  Mr. David Zvenyach\, Principal\, Zvenyach LLC\, previously GSA Federal Acquisition Services Deputy Commissioner and Executive Director\, 18F\, will address the opportunity for future opportunities and how to grow the federal marketplace footprint.  Discussion will center around how best to increase opportunities for Wisconsin businesses in the government marketplace. \nAs a birthday without cake is just a meeting\, join us after the forum for a reception! \nThis year’s meeting is sponsored by: \n\nTAPCO (Traffic & Parking Control Co.\, Inc)\nHusch Blackwell LLP\nTechnology Innovation Center\nDRS Power & Control Technologies\nBelonger Corporation\nBMO Harris\nPatina Solutions\nWS Darley\nMichels Corporation\nSchutt Industries\nBentley World Packaging\nLakeside Plastics\n\nAgenda: \n3:30 pm Registration \n4:00 pm In-State Federal Forum \n           Board\, congressional staff\, guests and businesses (invited) \n\nWelcome and Opening Remarks\, William Hughes\, WPI Chairman & President and Partner\, Husch Blackwell LLP\nThe State of Federal Contracting\, Aina Vilumsons\, CFCM\, Secretary and CEO\, Wisconsin Procurement Institute (WPI)\n David Zvenyach\, Principal Zvenyach LLC\, previously GSA Federal Acquisition Services Deputy Commissioner and Executive Director 18F\nCurrent and Planned Naval Programs and Initiatives\, Ed West\, Director\, Surface Ships\, DRS Naval Power Systems\nDiscussion\n\n5:30 pm Reception and Networking \n6:00 pm Keynote – A Post- Election Review\, Nathan Halbach\, Government Affairs Specialist\, Husch Blackwell \n7:00 pm Program Concludes \nWPI Executive Board of Directors: \n\n\n\nWilliam Hughes\, Chairman & President\, Husch Blackwell LLP\nMayor Steve Cummings\, Member\, City of Oshkosh\n\n\nAndrew Bergholz\, Vice Chairman\, TAPCO (Traffic & Parking Control Co.\, Inc)\nHerb Miller\, Member\, Michels Corporation\n\n\nRichard Deschauer\, Treasurer\, DRS Power & Control Technologies\nTravis Schmuhl\, Member\, Oshkosh Corporation\n\n\nAina Vilumsons\, CFCM\, Secretary\, Wisconsin Procurement Institute (WPI)\nJim Schutt\, Member\, Schutt Industries\n\n\nJean Marie Thiel\, Member\, Belonger Corporation\nRod Copes\, Member\, Titus Technologies / Heale Manufacturing\n\n\nTodd Bentley\, Member\, Bentley World-Packaging\nDr. Robert M.
