SUMMARY:Cyber Friday: Preparing for a CMMC Certification assessment
DESCRIPTION:  \nAs the CMMC program evolves and matures\, there will certainly be more information available that specifically addresses this topic. Even though there is currently no formal guidance\, there is considerable information that can be gleaned from the program goals\, requirements and resources. This webinar will explore the general nature of formal assessments to help provide context to better understand the process which will assist in making appropriate preparations. \n  \nSpeaker: Marc Violante\, Wisconsin Procurement Institute \n  \nThis webinar is eligible for 1 CPE credit. \nView a schedule of all upcoming Cyber Friday webinars. \n

SUMMARY:Cyber Friday: Embarking on the path to CMMC Level 3
DESCRIPTION:  \nTo be certified as CMMC L3\, a company must be able to demonstrate its ability to achieve of both practices and processes associated with L3 but also those associated with Level 1 and Level 2 requirements. As the level of cyber maturity increases so does the formality and documentation needed. As an example at CMMC L3 companies will require formal Policies. More importantly the “institutionalization” of these practices will be assessed and will in part ultimately determine the level at which a company is certified. This webinar will provide information that will assist companies with their planning and initial efforts toward developing a company-centric and tailored program that is consistent with the goals of the CMMC program. \n  \nSpeaker: Marc Violante\, Wisconsin Procurement Institute \n  \nThis webinar is eligible for 1 CPE credit. \nView a schedule of all upcoming Cyber Friday webinars. \n

SUMMARY:Cyber Friday: Overview of CMMC Level 1
DESCRIPTION:  \nFAR 52.204-21 is a current and active contract clause that addresses the protection of Federal Contract Information (FCI). This clause is also synonymous with CMMC Level 1\, which also specifically addresses FCI. However\, there are differences. One is that the 15 requirements of FAR 52.204-21 are listed as 17 requirements in CMMC L1 requirements. Other differences are the FAR clauses exists today\, it requires compliance and it also has a flow-down requirement. While the clause might be synonymous with CMMC L1 it is not a replacement or a substitute for it. To become certified under the CMMC program\, companies will have to develop programs that are compliant with CMMC L1. What is equally as important is that the processes\, mindset and efforts surrounding CMMC L1 will be needed for companies interested in certifying at other CMMC Levels. In effect\, CMMC L1 is the foundation needed for future efforts. This webinar will provide an overview of the necessary ideas\, concepts and philosophy necessary to begin the process. \n  \nSpeaker: Marc Violante\, Wisconsin Procurement Institute \n  \nThis webinar is eligible for 1 CPE credit. \nView a schedule of all upcoming Cyber Friday webinars. \n

SUMMARY:Cyber Friday: The other side of CMMC
DESCRIPTION:  \nThere does not appear to be an easy or quick path to CMMC; any level. Undoubtedly\, getting prepared will take time\, resources and tremendous support from the top. The real questions are what is needed and how to get to this point? This webinar will explore both the preparation phase(s) and what is necessary to execute the plan. \n  \nSpeaker: Marc Violante\, Wisconsin Procurement Institute \n  \nThis webinar is eligible for 1 CPE credit. \nView a schedule of all upcoming Cyber Friday webinars. \n

SUMMARY:Cyber Friday: Guarding and Securing Intangibles - Protecting what you cannot see and touch
DESCRIPTION:Protecting information sounds easy and straight forward but in reality it is much more difficult. Consider just a few questions – Who has access? Where is it stored? How is it stored? How is it supposed to be stored? How is it shared? What governing documents and requirements apply? Lastly\, are applicable requirements being followed? Information Security is not just a checklist or a page of questions. It is a developed way of thinking about these requirements and what is necessary and it is these ideas that this webinar will address. \n  \nSpeaker: Marc Violante\, Wisconsin Procurement Institute \n  \nThis webinar is eligible for 1 CPE credit. \nView a schedule of all Cyber Friday webinars. \n

SUMMARY:Cyber Friday: Information Security - An overview of programs\, general requirements and resources
DESCRIPTION:Today’s companies deal with emails\, prints\, models\, algorithms\, computer code and more. Employees meet\, discuss and converse about opportunities and projects. For companies in the defense space much of the information that they work with is sensitive or controlled unclassified information. No matter the medium\, this type of information needs to be safeguarded and protected from unauthorized disclosure\, inadvertent sharing or outright theft. Some companies state that they have fully development systems which are “air tight.” Others\, who have been awarded a DoD contract have a rudimentary system in place. This webinar will provide a broad overview of information security\, DoD requirements\, references and resources to use. \n  \nSpeaker: Marc Violante\, Wisconsin Procurement Institute \n  \nThis webinar is eligible for 1 CPE credit. \nView a schedule of all Cyber Friday webinars. \n
