DESCRIPTION:The event will provide information on how having a principal business location in La Crosse positions a firm for business opportunities with the government sector under the SBA’s program that supports firms located in a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone). \nA substantial part of La Crosse is considered HUBZone and two census tracts are also designated as Opportunity Zones\, which encourage investments in firms located in such areas. \nIn addition\, the program will discuss how small businesses and those owned by individuals targeted for support such as veterans\, women and minorities may pursue both business and government opportunities to grow their business.
