People & Places: Reston company’s top execs elected to nonprofit boards

Ed Silva and Baly Ambegaoker, Centerpoint Inc.’s chief executives, have each been elected to serve on the board of directors of a regional nonprofit.

Chief executive officer Silva will serve on the board of directors of the Community Foundation of Northern Virginia, a grant-making and endowment-building organization that works with donors across the region. The foundation’s research on key issues and philanthropic investment helps inspire the Northern Virginia community to become engaged in supporting neighbors in need.

Co-CEO and chairwoman Ambegaoker will serve on the Executive Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Procurement Institute in Milwaukee.

“As an entrepreneur who began my career in Wisconsin, I am pleased to be able to offer my experience and help to fulfill WPI’s mission to increase federal contracts for Wisconsin businesses,” Ambegaoker said.

The Wisconsin Procurement Institute, established in 1987, assists Wisconsin businesses in growing their federal, state and local government sales, revenues, profits and jobs.
