How did you come to work with WPI?

My first encounter with WPI was at a BizTimes (Biz Expo) conference.  They were a wealth of information about governmental contracting and seemed to have connections throughout the local federal procurement agencies.  I continued to see WPI at many other local conferences such as “How To Do Business With the Federal Government”.  The breadth of knowledge they displayed at these conferences was impressive.  I attended these conferences annually for a few years so that I could learn and understand the complexity of working with the Federal Government.

How did WPI assist your business?

Although we didn’t finish the process, WPI assisted our business with filing an 8a application.  WPI assisted us with establishing ourselves as a qualified Federal Contractor.  These steps included creating accounts on several federal government contracting web sites.  They also were a tremendous assistance with guiding us through our first Federal RFP.

What has been the result of this collaboration?

We were awarded our first federal contract because of the assistance given to us from the staff at WPI.  This new contract virtually doubled our business.  Without the guidance of WPI, I do not believe we would have been successful.

How would other businesses like yours benefit from working with WPI?

Small businesses who want to work with the Federal Government can learn exactly how to do that with the expert guidance from WPI.  WPI’s trained staff help navigate through the governmental “red tape” and complex application processes required to become a qualified contractor.
