Uihlein’s Bradley Center demolition plans surface on construction bidding website

Milwaukee – Information has emerged on a construction bidding website that outlines plans to demolish the BMO Harris Bradley Center as part of a larger plan for a new multipurpose arena on West State Street in downtown Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Business Journal has learned.

David Uihlein Jr., son of the late BMO Harris Bradley Center benefactor Jane Bradley Pettit, recently proposed building a downtown Milwaukee arena on a site requiring the demolition of the UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena and the Milwaukee Theatre. Uihlein, who owns Uihlein Wilson Architects, also said the BMO Harris Bradley Center should be demolished because it is “obsolete by NBA standards” after the new arena is built.
