AFRL Small Business Hub – Decoding the Air Force Budget Process: A Guide for Small Business (Dayton, OH)

Virtual and In-Person

July 12, 2024 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

As a small business operating in the DoD market sector, government representatives may say they can’t buy a product or service until funds are “POM-ed.” When asking follow-up questions, the idea of the Planning, Programming, and Budgeting & Expectation (PPBE) process arises, operating in support of the President’s Budget (PB) submission. What is this process and how does it work? For this collider, the Air Force Materiel Command’s (AFMC’s) resident expert on the POM and PPBE process, Ms. Kristen O’Sullivan, Chief, Strategic Plans and Programs, HQ AFMC will be on-hand to define and explain these processes as well as answer questions. This collider will explain how the DoD/Air Force budgeting process works.
