The Opening Reception is a great way to end your first day at the 2017 JETC. The Center of Science and Industry (COSI) is one of the most respected science centers in the nation — engaging more than 33 million people through both on-site and off-site programs since 1964. Parents magazine named COSI the #1 Science Center in the Country. Its programs and world-class experiences inspire an interest in science encouraging people to want to learn more about their world. During the reception, you will have the opportunity to explore some of the fascinating exhibits at this inspiring location. Learn more about COSI here.
Engineering Service Chiefs Panel
The Engineering Service Chiefs will participate in a panel discussion centered on the important issues facing the federal A/E/C industry and military engineering community, including the capability gaps each service is facing, the technical needs and challenges of the future, and the road ahead for the A/E/C industry.
Joint Engineer Table Top Exercise
SAME will host the second annual Table Top Exercise at the 2017 JETC. The exercise will use a PACOM-based Humanitarian Assistance/Disaster Response (HA/DR) scenario based on the existing unclassified Defense Planning Scenario. The exercise will bring together Joint and Service Engineer operators and planners from across all commands, along with engineer industry representatives, to examine total engineer force capabilities and capacity to respond to the requirements posed by the HA/DR scenario. In particular, this group will examine the adequacy of Engineer Command and Control structures to organize and execute the complex Joint, Interagency, International, Multinational nature of a HA/DR event.

A robust education program is planned, featuring multiple educational tracks that address the issues impacting the federal A/E/C industry and joint engineering community.
