Event Description:
Critical Infrastructure is expansive. It includes 16 sectors whose assets are considered “so vital that their incapacitation or destruction would have a debilitating effect on security, national economic security, national public health or safety, or any combination thereof” (DHS Website). These resources are aging, in many cases extremely complex and of high monetary value. They provide many of the services upon which a great majority of the country’s citizens depend. By 2020, one estimate is that the investment required to repair and upgrade the nation’s critical infrastructure will be in the neighborhood of $3.6 Trillion dollars. This session will provide an overview of these sectors and related resources to aid companies with their business development efforts.
