Acquisition Hour: Protests, Claims and Disputes in Federal Contracts

Taking the Government to Court or “suing” the Government is seldom the correct answer.  Alternative courses of action are outlined in Part 33 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).  In this session, we will explore Protests, Claims, Disputes, Appeals, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).  While none of the actions should be used regularly, contractors need to understand when and how to use them.  Using these actions wisely can save contractors time, money, and impact their bottom line.
