The NEW SMALL BUSINESS MENTOR PROTÉGÉ PROGRAM is designed to enhance the capabilities of protégé firms by providing business development assistance and improving the protégé firms’ ability to successfully compete for federal contracts.  Participation in this program is open to all types of SMALL BUSINESS including HUBZone, Woman Owned Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and Small Business.

The new rules went into effect August 24, 2016, and the SBA began accepting applications on October 1 2016.

This rule has been referred to by many in the Federal market as a “game changer”.
