The General Services Administration (GSA) is hosting a workshop in support of the Cybersecurity National Action Plan (CNAP). The morning session will bring together government and industry partners to discuss why CNAP was implemented, the different drivers behind CNAP, requirements of CNAP, and possible impacts on stakeholders.

In addition, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) representatives will speak about their risk and vulnerability assessments (RVAs) and incident response (IR) processes. GSA speakers will discuss the pending acquisition strategy; CDM/CMaaS; results of the Cybersecurity Services RFI; and the utilization of small businesses.

There will be an afternoon breakout session for industry to hear about GSA’s FASt Lane program and for government to receive information on how to buy from GSA contracting vehicles.

The workshop:

    • Provides an opportunity for government stakeholders and industry partners to ask CNAP-related questions
    • Raises awareness of OMB Memo M-16-04, the “Cybersecurity Strategy and Implementation Plan” (CSIP), dated October 30, 2015, and CNAP
    • Shares information with  industry partners and federal agencies about the upcoming Highly Adaptive Cybersecurity Services (HACS) Special Item Number (SIN)
