Cyber security is the modern challenge facing our country. In 2015, McAfee estimates that cybercrime costs the global economy $445 billion. Over 200,000 jobs were lost to cyber-crime in the US and over 150,000 in Europe. Cyber criminals are not only becoming more sophisticated they are also becoming more organized. This event is a not-to-be-missed opportunity for business leaders and individuals to get the latest information on cyber-crime and learn what companies we know and deal with on a daily basis are doing about it.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Michael Farrell is Chief Scientist of the Cyber Technology and Information Security Lab at the Georgia Tech Research Institute. He leads applied research & development programs that span the spectrum of cyber security. Earlier in his career, Dr. Farrell served in a number of technical operations within the Department of Defense and won numerous awards for his work. Dr. Farrell is regularly published in peer-reviewed technical journals on the topics of software engineering, network security, and data modeling. Dr. Farrell keeps his privacy online, but you can see him in person at the War Memorial Center on September 15.
