Learn how your company may fit into two strategies being employed by the Air Force to manage resources and solve complex problems – Category Management and Other Transaction Authority (OTA). Knowledge of these practices can help companies position themselves to participate in AFMC procurements ranging from commercial items/services to cutting edge research and development. Understand the Air Force’s approach to category management and how it is shaping the future of acquisition. Hear examples of the Department of Defense using OTA for research or prototype instruments to quickly and effectively develop partnerships between government, industry, academia and non-profits, with an emphasis on highly innovative non-traditional and small business partners.

 

AFMC/SB at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is joining with the Ohio Small Business Development Center at Wright State University, the Greater Ohio Valley Chapter of Women in Defense and DaytonDefense to present a small business outreach event on Wednesday, 1 November 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Wright State University Student Union Endeavor Room.

 

Registration: We want to ensure equal access to this event, but space is limited to 150 persons so reservations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Each company is limited to two attendees in order to accommodate the maximum number of companies.
