The NEW SMALL BUSINESS MENTOR PROTÉGÉ PROGRAM is designed to enhance the capabilities of protégé firms by providing business development assistance and improving the protégé firms’ ability to successfully compete for federal contracts. Participation in this program is open to all types of SMALL BUSINESS including HUBZone, Woman Owned Small Business, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business and Small Business.
The Final Rule went into effect August 24, 2016, and the SBA will begin accepting applications on October 1 2016. The program was modeled after the 8(a) MP program but there are significant changes.
