Cyber Thursday: Cybersecurity Requirements for Non-Department of War Contractors and Suppliers
Virtual
June 25, 2026 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Federal cybersecurity requirements aren’t limited to Department of War contractors. Civilian agencies, prime contractors, and suppliers throughout the federal supply chain are increasingly subject to similar requirements, even when they do not contract directly with the Department of War. This Cyber Thursday session is designed for contractors outside the Department of War ecosystem who still need to understand FAR 52.204 21 basic safeguarding requirements, the forthcoming FAR CUI rule, CISA directives, and agency specific cybersecurity clauses that are frequently flowed down through federal contracts.
This session will cover current cybersecurity requirements, what changes are expected in the near future, and how to identify cybersecurity obligations embedded in contracts before they become compliance risks. Whether you contract directly with a civilian agency, supply a federal prime contractor, or are considering entering the federal marketplace for the first time, this webinar will help you understand baseline expectations, required documentation, and practical first steps toward compliance.
Speaker: Matt Frost, Government Contract Specialist, Wisconsin Procurement Institute – WI APEX Accelerator
